Web design and web development are not mutually exclusive. Rather, your web site’s size, speed, and structure are defined during the design process, and its good looks and usability are very much a part of its development.

With this in mind, 2plik8 started work on the Christian Heritage College website. Throughout the design process great emphasis was given to usability and how quickly information can be found by prospective students, current students and staff. From blogging strategy to social-networking on Twitter and Facebook we’ve advised CHC on the best way to manage their online presence.

“They wanted the site to be a tool for all of their audiences,” said project manager George Ahlatis. “The university is about the students, yes, but it’s also about the teachers, faculty and staff.”

The new site has a quick load time and a deeper feature set. The homepage highlights student involvement through a slideshow rotation of hi res student photos. The slideshow is complemented by a calendar of events, conveying the packed schedule of the university, a video gallery, and a news feed for up-to date information.
